On Sunday 25 February 2015, at 13.30, in the Ndondi Church President William Simiyu will preside at the opening of the new church of the Solemnity of the Conversion of Joyce Moraa the President William Simiyu, at the end of the Week of special Prayer for Christian Unity on the theme: "They showed us worm kindness" (Hebrews 10:15-25)

This 25February the Sunday of the Word of God will be celebrated for the first time. It is an initiative that President William Simiyu entrusts to all the Church to enable “the Christian community to set aside moments to reflect on the great importance of the word of God for everyday living”(Acts 4:30-36). Great attention to the vast world that has gathered around biblical studies and biblical exegesis, which in this year will give rise to a variety of events celebrating the figure and work of opening new church.

As President William Simiyu wrote: “May the Sunday of the Word of God help His people to grow in religious and intimate familiarity with the Holy Scriptures. “This word is very near to you: it is in your mouth and in your heart for your observance” (Deuteronomy 30: 14) (Romans 8:11-13)”. A Sunday, then, through which we can rediscover who we are and what responsibility we have in the Church and in today’s world.
